July 18 Marks Mid Season at Skyview Drags

Saturday July 18, 2015 brought hot and humid weather for the racers and track officials at Skyview Drags for the Mid Season Points Race. But that didn't stop racers from competing for the top prize in each of the 660 ET Series classes. Memories were made with first time wins for Mel Teed of Friendsville Pa in the Pro Class, former 4 time Pro Champion, Shane Garinger of Exeter Pa, with his first Super Pro win and a runner-up finish for Junior Dragster Rookie, AJ Denmark of Ovid NY.

Ink Racing Takes Home 2 Class Wins!

Saturday July 11, 2015 – The weather was in Skyview Drags favor this past weekend, giving racers a full day of 660 ET Series points racing, the completion of Girls Gone Racing and even a Gamblers race.

Junior Dragsters

With 2 runner-up finishes this season, Lewis Ink of Barton NY finally broke through that barrier on Saturday earning his first ever win in Junior Dragster competition against Hannah Garinger of Exeter Pa Ink, currently second in the points standing was dialed 10.30 to points leader Garinger dialed in at 8.00. Ink with the better .527 reaction time ran a 10.367 at 60.25 on his dial. Garinger was .620 on the tree running 8..051 at 79.20 mph. In the Semi Finals, Ink had the bye run in to the final round. Garinger defeated Abby Hacker of Bainbridge NY. Hacker dialed 7.99 was .525 on tree, running 8.100 at 80.79 mph. Garinger dialed 7.98 was .561 on the tree running 8.015 at 79.92 mph, taking the win.

Pro Stick Series Held at Skyview Drags Northern Summer Nationals

Sunday, July 5, 2015 - Skyview Drags welcomed the American Muscle Cars of the Pro Stick Racing series to the Northern Summer Nationals over the 4th of July weekend. 2015 marks 20 years of Pro Stick racing, where “Real Race Cars Have A Clutch”. Taking home the win and the $500.00 purse sponsored by LJC Enterprises was the Ford Mustang of Ed Brady over the Chevy S10 pickup of Matt Bergenstock of Mifflinburg Pa. Bergenstock, was .4990 red on the start, running 6.055 at 114.80 mph on his 6.04 dial. Brady dialed 5.53, was .559 on the tree, running a 5.541 at 124.68 mph. In the semi finals, Bergenstock defeated the Fox Body Ford Mustang of 3 time Pr Stick Series Champion, Dan Hoyler of Inwood WV. Hoyler dialed 6.79, was .562 on the tree, running a too quick 6.774 at 97.00 mph on his dial. Bergenstock dialed 6.03, was .604 on the tree, running 6.051 at 114.15 mph. Brady moved on to the final against Wally Warzecha. Warzecha with a red light start ran 8.616 at 97.24 mph on his 7.15 dial. Brady dialed 5.54, was .529 on the tree, going dead on his dial, 5.540 at 123.91 mph.

DOUBLE POINTS races for all classes as per our schedule.

PRO STICK RACING SERIES has Sunday, 07/05 as their rain date so they will be there!

And we'll still have our FIREWORKS show as soon as it gets dark.

SUNDAY, 07/05:  Gates open at 8:30 AM for our Junior Dragsters only. Junior Time Trials begin at 10 AM.
For all other classes, Gates open at 10:30 AM with Time Trials beginning at 1 PM.



Withers Continues Winning Streak in Bike/Sled Competition


Veteran racer, Mackenzie Cayea out of Williamson NY made a first time appearance of the 2015 season at Skyview Drags on Saturday and took home the win in Junior Dragster competition against runner-up Lewis Ink of Barton NY. Cayea, with her second win of her race season, dialed 7.90 and ran dead on her dial going 7.905 at 81.83 mph, leaving the line with a .579 reaction time. Ink dialed 10.30, broke out running 10.243 at 61.79 mph, .615 reaction time. In the semi finals, Cayea advanced to the final after defeating Hannah Garinger of Exeter Pa. Both girls were dialed 7.91 and in it to win it! Hannah went .497 red running 7.948 at 81.07 mph. Cayea was .503 on the tree, running 7.897 at 82.23 mph. Ink advanced to the final with a bye run.
