Simon picks up first win in Super Pro/Garringer with second in Pro!

Shane Garringer of New Albany PA brought home his second win of the 2012 race season against Chris Raineri. In the final round, Raineri left first going .616 on the tree and running a 7.338 ET on a 7.30 dial. Garringer had the better reaction time with a .526, running 6.781 ET on his 6.66 dial.  In the semi finals, Garringer defeated Scott Edwards. Edwards dialed 7.37 went .600 on the tree running a 7.442 ET. Garringer went .537 on the tree, running a 6.724 ET on a 6.63 dial, turning on the win light. Raineri defeated Terry Coleman of Waverly NY in the semis. Coleman dialed 7.61 went
.726 on the tree running a 7.679 on his dial.  Raineri gave chase going .604 on the tree and running 7.347 on a 7.30 dial.

In Bike/Sled competition, Lynn Major of Tioga Center NY scored his second win of the season against Rob Withers of Blodgett Mills NY. Major, dialed 5.36 went .619 on the tree, running a 5.387 ET to Withers 8.80 dial, .633 reaction time, 8.818 ET. In the semi final round, Major advanced into the final round against Boyd McGarry of Horseheads NY. after a foul by McGarry. Writhers went onto the final against Dick Reome of Blodgett Mills NY, also after a foul start by Reome.

rick simon winRick Simon Sr of Vestal NY took home his first Super Pro win in Saturday’s race competition after defeating Don Kiekel of Binghamton, NY in the final round. In a heads up race, Simon left the line with a .526 reaction time, to Kiekel’s .532 reaction time. Kiekel broke out running 4.987 ET on a 5.00 dial to Simon’s 5.018 ET on a 5.01 dial. In the semi final round, Simon had the bye run into the final round after defeating Mark Earnest of Bloomsburg PA in the quarterfinal. Kiekel defeated John Cooper of Binghamton, NY. In a very close battle, Kiekel dialed 5.00, went .511 on the tree, running a 5.003 ET to Cooper’s 4.86 dial, .525 reaction time and running a 4.868 ET.

In Street Money, Kenneth Roberts of Ulster Pa went to the winner’s circle with his first win of the 2012 race season. Roberts defeated Kenneth Bacon of Elmira NY in the final round. Roberts dialed 9.60 went .596 on the tree, running a 9.611 ET.  Bacon dialed 8.62 went .606 on the tree, breaking out with a 8.609 ET on his dial. In the semi final round, Roberts defeated Tim Wright of Apalachin NY. Bacon defeated Roger Siedel of Conklin NY.

In Street Trophy, runner-up in the Street Money class, Kenneth Bacon of Elmira NY defeated Tim Wright of Apalachin NY. Bacon dialed 8.62 went .568 on the tree running a 8.651 ET. Wright dialed 8.07 went .403 red, running at 8.187 ET. In the semi finals, Bacon defeated Howie Conklin of Grahamsville NY. Wright defeated Mike Dunkle of Millerton Pa.
