2013 Points Season Officially Gets Under Way!
The Junior Dragster class kicked off the 2013 Season 660 Point's chase on Saturday May 11, 2013. Haley Teed of Friendsville PA took home the trophy against Hayden Houghtalen of Waverly NY. Houghtalen dialed 10.24, went .608 on the tree, but broke out running a fast 10.189
ET. Haley dialed 7.90 had a .621 reaction time, running right on the number with a 7.903 ET. Semi Final action lined Houghtalen against
James Forbes of Esperance NY. Houghtalen advanced to the finals after going .601 on the tree and running a 10.288 ET on his 10.24 dial. Forbes gave chase dialed 7.94, .573 reaction time, but was unable to run the number going 8.221 ET on his dial. Teed advanced to the final
against Anthony Aroillo. Teed dialed 7.90 went a 7.929 ET, .551 reaction time. Aroillo dialed 7.96 broke out running a 7.937 ET, .525 reaction time.
CJ Drake of Binghamton NY took home the Super Pro win on Saturday against John Cooper of Binghamton NY. Cooper dialed 4.81, had the better reaction time of the pair with a .511 tree. CJ gave chase dialed 4.54, going .534 on the tree. CJ was able to make up the difference at the finish line running a 4.552 ET on his dial to Cooper's 4.845 ET. Cooper took on Don Kiekel of Binghamton NY in the Semi Finals. In an almost heads up race, Cooper dialed 4.81 went .533 on the tree running a 4.827 ET. Kiekel dialed 4.79, went .532 on the tree, but broke out running a 4.784 ET on his dial. CJ advanced to the final with a bye run earned from his Quarter Final win against Casey Jo Scaccia of Franklin NY. Quarter Final honors went to Chet Dragon of Harveys Lake PA, Tom Samsel of Rome NY and Casey Jo Scaccia.
In the Pro Class, 58 cars headed to the staging lanes to compete for their shot at the winner's circle. Mike Scribani of Oneonta NY was the class
winner against Terry Lee of North Syracuse NY. Scribani dialed 6.43 had the better reaction time going .533 on the tree, running a 6.491 ET on his dial. Lee dialed 6.63 went .543 on the tree running a 6.742 ET. In the Semi Final round, Scribani defeated Shanon Fenton of Laceyville PA, moving him in to the final round. Fenton left the line first with a .535 reaction time running 6.871 ET on his 6.82 dial. Scribani dialed 6.44 went .532 on the tree running closer to his dial with a 6.451 ET. Lee had the bye run to the final after his win against Bruce Rowan of Carbondale Pa in the Quarter Finals. Quarter Finalist in Pro were Steve Cross of Friendsville PA, Shane Garinger of New Albany NY and Bruce Rowan.
Matt Dunkle of Millerton PA took the win in the TCR Class with a solo pass. Dunkle dialed 11.16, went .531 on the tree running a 11.076 ET.

In Street Money, Tim Wright of Apalachin NY headed towards the winner circle after defeating Ken Bacon of Elmira NY. Wright dialed 7.90 went .722 on the tree running a 7.958 ET. Bacon dialed 8.68, went red with a .493 reaction time. Semi Finals lined Wright against Lionel Fields.
Field dialed 9.31 went .472 red against Wright, and ran a 9.441 ET. Wright dialed 7.90, went .583, going 7.945 on his dial. Bacon went on to the final against Dennis Achilles of Trumansburg NY. Bacon dialed 8.68 had the better reaction of .562 between the pair, running a 8.689 on his dial. Achilles dialed 8.40, went .734 on the tree running on the number with a 8.406 ET.
Boyd McGarry of Horseheads NY was the top competitor in Bike/Sled with his final round win against Brent Garcia of Cincinnatus NY. McGarry dialed 6.38 went .619 on the tree running a 6.419 ET. Garcia dialed 6.83 had the better reaction time with a .599 light, but broke out running 6.826 ET on his dial. In the Semi Final round, McGarry earned the bye run to the final after defeating Rob Withers of Blodgett Mills NY in the Quarter Finals. Garcia dialed a 6.79, lined up against Lynn Major of Tioga Center, who was dialed in at an impressive 5.16 on his bike. Garcia left the line first with a .557 reaction time, running a 6.864 ET. Major gave chase, going .548 on the tree, but broke out running 5.135 ET on his dial. Quarter Finals went to Rob Withers, David Sanford and Keith Miller.
The Street Trophy class win went to Howie Conklin of Grahamsville NY after defeating Mike Dunkle of Millerton PA in the final round. Conklin, dialed 8.21 went .615 on tree running 8.241 ET. Dunkle dialed 9.53, left the line first with a .689, running a too quick 9.500 ET on his
dial. Dunkle had the bye run to the final round. Conklin took on Street Money runner-up Ken Bacon in the Semi Finals. Conklin dialed 8.21 went .612 on the tree running a 8.267 ET. Bacon left the line first with a .600 reaction time running a 8.865 ET on his 8.66 dial.
