May 25 - Scribani Scores 2nd Straight Pro Win

Mike Scribani of Oneonta, NY went to the winner's circle for the second week in a row in the Pro Class against Steve Cross of Friendsville PA. Scribani dialed 6.46 went .510 on the tree running a 6.504 ET. Cross, dialed 6.15 went .585 on the tree, but was unable to close the gap with his dead on 6.150 ET. Semi finals lined Scribani against Zane Furman of Camptown, PA. Furman broke out against Scribani, running 7.069 ET on his 7.08 dial, .641 reaction time. Scribani, dialed 6.46 went .543 on the tree, running a 6.488 ET. Cross advanced to the final against Manley Houghtalen of Sayre, PA. Houghtalen, dialed 6.48, broke out, running 6.455 ET, .515 reaction time. Cross dialed 6.15, went .525 on the tree, running a 6.170 ET.

 

The Junior Dragster Class started Saturday, May 25, 2013 competition with last year's point's champion, Randi Teed of Friendsville, PA, scoring her first win of the season. Teed dialed 8.11, lined up against last year's point's runner-up, Morgan Burgess of Canton, PA, dialed in at 7.96. Teed left the line first with the better .551 reaction time, running 8.125 ET on her dial. Burgess gave chase going .583 on the tree, but was unable to close the gab, going 8.026 ET on her dial. In the semi finals, Burgess took on last week's Junior winner, Haley Teed of Friendsville, Pa. Haley went .674 on the tree and broke out running 8.234 ET on a 8.26 dial. Burgess went on to the final after running 8.012 ET on a 7.96 dial, .661 reaction time. Teed advanced into the final against Hannah Garinger of New Albany, PA, after a double breakout elimination. Garinger dialed 13.43, had the better reaction time with a .577, running 13.072 ET on her dial. Teed dialed 8.17, went .702 on the tree, 8.115 ET.

In an all dragster Super Pro Final, Richie Forbes of Esperance, NY took home the win against Rick Simon Sr. of Vestal, NY. Forbes dialed 4.79, had the advantage with a .513 reaction time, and took the win running a 4.818 ET. Simon dialed 5.09 went .560 on the tree running a 5.120 ET. Forbes advanced into the final against Chet Dragon of Harveys Lake, PA in the Semi Final round. Dragon left the line first with a better .519 reaction time, but broke out running a 6.662 ET on his 6.67 dial. Forbes dialed 4.80, went .523 on the tree and ran a 4.815 ET. Simon had the bye run into the final after a red light start from last weeks runner-up, John Cooper of Binghamton, NY, in the Quarter Final round of competition.

The TCR class had 3 participants this weekend, with Tayler Hacker taking home the trophy against last week's winner Matt Dunkle of Millerton PA. Hacker dialed 10.89 turned the win light on going .594 on the tree, running a 10.934 ET. Dunkle went .591 on the tree running 11.367ET on a 11.30 dial.

In the Bike/Sled class, Matt Guinan was the class winner over Rob Withers of Blodgett Mills, NY. Guinan dialed 6.23 went .537 on the tree, running a 6.282 ET. Withers left the line first with a .723 reaction time, running a 9.034 ET on his 8.98 dial. In the semi final round, Withers defeated last week's runner-up, Brent Garcia of Cincinnatus, NY. Garcia, with a .494 red light start, turned the win light on for Withers, running a 7.035 ET on a 6.90 dial. Withers went .803 on the tree running a 8.993 ET on a 9.00 dial. Guinan went in to the final round after a Quarter Final win against Ken Dolatowski of Camilus, NY.

In Street Money, John Hummel took the win in the Final round against Glenna Erecitano of Vestal, NY. Erecitano, went .659 on the tree, but broke out running 11.110 ET on her 11.24 ET. Hummel dialed 10.30, went .698 on the tree, running a 10.399 ET. Erecitano advanced to the Final round after defeating Mike Dunkle of Millerton, PA in the Quarter Final round. Hummel lined up against Howie Conklin of Grahamsville, NY in the Semi Final round. Hummel dialed 10.30, went .594 on the tree, running 10.347 ET on his dial. Conklin went .640 on tree running a 8.276 ET on his 8.27 dial.

Last week's Street Trophy runner-up, Mike Dunkle found his way to the winner's circle on Saturday after his win against Tim Wright of Apalachin NY in a double break out elimination round. Dunkle dialed 9.44, went .546 on the tree, running a 9.418 ET. Wright, dialed 7.90, went .596 on the tree, running a 7.875 ET. Dunkle went on to the final with a bye run after a Quarter Final win against Shawn Wood. Wright lined up against Dean Dewitt in the Semi's. Dewitt dialed 8.80, went .659 on the tree running a 8.970 ET. Wright gave chase going .657 on the tree, running a 7.975 ET on his 7.90 dial.
