What better way to start your drag racing career, than to get your drag car from your Great Grandmother? For those of you that are of lineage, you might conger up the words to the old Jan & Dean song, "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena," as the roots to Ray's gorgeous '66 Plymouth Belvedere!

Hailing from Towanda PA, Ray has been participating in the sport of drag racing for two years, and at the same time working part time at Hurley's Supermarket.

Ray's accomplishments to date have been class winner in Street both at Skyview and as well taking Top Beaver class at Beaver Springs Dragway in Beaver Springs PA, all the while attending Towanda High School in his senior year.

"Gram's car," an original 1966 Plymouth Belvedere sports a 383 big block which has run a best E.T. of 8.44 at 80.78 mph on the 1/8th mile course.

Ray is able to remain calm while under the celebrity spotlight with the help of his crew, Sandy & Ray Thurston and Bob Lantz. While currently without a sponsor, Ray would like to thank his friends both here at Skyview and at home, as well as Mom & Dad.

And who could forget that this car was his great grandmother's! Now how cool is that?
