THE IHRA SUMMIT PRO-AM TOUR
HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR
OCTOBER 3-5

Torrential rain has been pouring down on Tioga Center, NY for the past 4 days and there doesn’t appear to be any relief in the near future. In an effort to save competitors from potentially incurring additional travel expenses, the Division 1 Patriots event has been rescheduled for October 3-5, 2008.

George Swansborgh, track owner has been busy improving the facility for this event by increasing the amount of paved pit spots and is very excited about hosting this event. Prior to making this very difficult decision George had the following comments, “I really hate to postpone this event, but with the flooding we have already experienced and the continued rain I feel it is in the best interest of the racers to move this to another date”.

"With the amount of water that the facility has already taken on and losing the week to finish the paving projects George is completing, we need to pull the plug now in an effort to provide our competitors with a better chance of completing the double Summit Pro-Am weekend" said Division Director Joel Thompson. "Racers can expect to see a new and improved Skyview in October. We are very excited about the improvements and with a good weather weekend we expect the Patriot competitors to be very excited about this stop on the Summit Pro-Am tour." – as posted on IHRA.com
